I don’t normally leave reviews but I wanted people to know — Carla’s Salon was one of the best decisions I have made since moving to this area 8 months ago! I am from the midwest area and moved here this past August and have been struggling to pick a salon to go to as I am pretty particular where I go — you don’t want to pay all that money for a cut and full highlight and then have a bad experience or have something happen to your hair that you take care of so well and are growing out. I was randomly walking by Carla’s salon and was initially taken in by the cute location in downtown Jenkintown and how nice and cute it looked inside. After that, I looked her up and saw the rave reviews so I thought I would take a chance and try her out. SHE WAS SO GREAT. Not only was her upbeat, vivacious personality a blast to hang out and chat with while she did my hair, she did an amazing job. She is a very skilled and experienced colorist and I could DEFINITELY tell after my hair was done — I explained to her what I wanted and showed her a picture and she did that and more. The blonde highlights she gave me were that bright, spring-y blonde I was going for but very natural and full of dimension. I had to have her cut my hair shorter because of a grown out inverted bob I received a few months ago and she corrected it with her cut and added just the right amount of layers to liven it up again. I was also given snacks and tea/water and felt very much so pampered for the time I was there which is always so nice at salon appointments — gives you a chance to slow down and relax after a long week. SUCH a great experience and I will definitely be going back to her from now on — If you are on the fence about trying out a new place for your hair experience, I hope you try Carla’s. You will not be disappointed 🙂

Came here to get my highlights done after my mom and sister raved about Carla. I understand why! Carla did an amazing job with my highlights and was sweet and funny! I will be back for more services. Her salon has a great selection of accessories as well!

I love Carla’s! I loved both Carla and the women who shampooed me, patty. So fun to talk to and incredibly welcoming. Carla did an amazing job on my hair. I showed her what I wanted, and she gave me it! She even gave me advice on how to keep my hair healthy, (very much needed.) Will be returning soon and definitely with healthier hair thanks to her 🙂

Carla’s knowledge, skills, talent & experience make her a gifted hairstylist. Carla rescued my curly hair after I received a very bad haircut & color from someone else I had never gone to before. Carla exceeded my expectations! She treated my damaged frizzy hair & corrected the color so it was appropriate for my skin tone. She gave me a great haircut for my curly but fine hair & she made sure the cut framed my face. I was very impressed bc my hair was a disaster before I found Carla. I highly recommend her. She is very personable & truly cares about her clients. Carla is a gem!!

Jackie was amazing!   She completely transformed my hair and I feel like a new woman. She worked with me to figure out the perfect cut. She’s creative, talented, and knowledgable.

I have been trying to find a hairstylist than can work on curly hair for the longest til I found Carla’s! She did an amazing job, understood EXACTLY what I wanted & advised me on when to go back. Going to her salon felt like a movie-experience, you know when you get to have fun conversation during your haircut & it feels like you’ve known your newfound stylist for like ever? Loved Carla’s vibe, I will definitely be back !!

I’ve been going here for about 2 years now and i love this place. Carla is amazing.. she knows how to cut curly hair the RIGHT way. It’s been hard finding people that know how to cut curly hair. And she provides a great atmosphere. She’s so nice and funny!

If you have curly hair, you NEED to go to Carla! I’ve spent years being disappointed with hair dressers messing up cutting my curly hair.. but Carla NAILED IT. She is SO knowledgable – she gave me lots of tips on how to keep my hair healthier and advised me on when to come back for upkeep. Both Carla and Patty were so welcoming, kind, and funny. Amazing conversation throughout. Will 100% be back!

This was the first time I went to Carla’s Salon. She is fabulous, friendly and listens to what you are looking for with color and cut. She did a beautiful job with my hair. I have gotten so many compliments. I already booked my next 2 appointments with her! I love the smaller Salon. You will not find a better colorist or experienced Hairdresser. I love her honest suggestions regarding color and cuts. You may need to wait to get an appointment with Carla, but wait until you can get in with her, it is well worth it! Karen

If you have curly hair (or even if you don’t) you MUST go here! Carla is the best all around; very sweet, funny, and is an amazing stylist who really knows her stuff! I have never had my hair cut professionally and this was an amazing first experience, I can’t wait to go back!

Just got my hair cut here for the second time and it was great. I have curly, thick, natural 3c hair and people never know quite what to do with it, but this salon does. They remembered me from the first time, even though it was months ago. Josh washed my hair and Jackie cut. Carla was taking care of another client but still made time to come over and chat. Everyone was a great conversation and I left with a FANTASTIC hair cut. They also let me bring my daughter (my sitter fell through) and while I don’t recommend taking babies to hair salons, it went better than expected because they were so accommodating. This is def my go-to salon now!

I LOVE Carla’s! I tried her first with a Groupon, and knew within the first 20 minutes that I’d found my new salon home. Carla was super upfront and honest about the fact that I’d need to pay for extra things (like toner, treatments, etc) that were beyond the color and cut the Groupon covered. Super clean and professional and high quality hairdressing. She takes care of her customers. Plus you’re always going to have fun with Carla and all the folks that work there! Such a joyful, fun, professional, talented group to work with for beauty. I always feel so pretty when I leave after Carla’s had her hands on my hair!! Don’t miss out on this place!!

I was lucky to have Carla make my hair look vibrant and beautiful after four months quarantine !! She spent plenty of time with me and all her attention. Color came out perfect and she cut just as I requested. Her shop is extremely clean and well structured, esp now with so many health considerations. She is positively my new hair professional!! So happy to have found Carla! She gives a great haircut. It looks good when she cuts it AND as it grows out! She pays attention to what your hair naturally wants to do and works with it so that it is easy to maintain.

Carla was amazing with my hair! I had let my hair color go with a lot of grays coming in. I was on the fence about coloring it or not, but Carla assured me that coloring my grays and roots would make me look younger and who doesn’t want that? She did a fabulous job. It really did take years off my look. My hair looks so healthy and natural you would never know it is colored and that’s what you want right? Go see Carla and you’ll love how you look. Her prices were very reasonable.

Today I visited Carla’s Salon for the first time and had an amazing experience. I was nervous because it was my first time getting highlights done but Carla and Jackie were super sweet, amazing and helpful knowing that I am pretty nervous.
Jackie took her time and asked what I preferred and what I liked and did exactly what I was expecting and I love my new hair color. I got comments from everyone that my hair looks amazing.

Carla is amazing at coloring and styling, overall was a great experience. She’s funny and hardworking, really makes going to her boutique worth it! She isn’t like other salons, and makes the connection with her customers. We just left her boutique and my hair looks and feels amazing, grade A place!

Wow! I finally found a place that actually knows how to cut and style curly hair! I have naturally curly hair, and I’ve been to so many places that say they are experienced with curls, or have people trained specifically for curly hair, but always end up leaving with weird “steps” or looking like a Christmas tree! Finally, I don’t have to be nervous about getting a haircut LOL! Thank you Carla!

Carla fixed a very bad cut I got a week or so ago at a different very high end salon. This is a shop with a lot of big personalities, where there is obvious care and connection with their clients and a lot of joy and laughter. My hair looks so, so much better and I will definitely be back. I highly recommend Carla.

I went to Carla’s for the first time last week. It was by far the best experience I’ve ever had at a hair salon. Everything about the visit made me know for sure that I have finally found MY salon. Her customer service is superb. We talked about what I wanted and she happily answered my questions and offered suggestions. Carla gave me a great cut that I am super happy with. I will be returning for color soon, as she is one of the best colorists in the area.

The salon itself is clean and comfortable. Unlike most salons where I’ve felt crammed in with loud chatter and unpleasant chemical smells all around, at Carla’s I felt relaxed and in good hands. I swear that this was the first time that I left a salon without a headache.

From talking with her it is clear that she very knowledgeable and Jenkintown is lucky to have someone with her high-end expertise. I have been to other local salons, but now that I’ve been to Carla’s I know how a client should be treated and what a true positive experience at a salon is. I’m looking forward to my next visit. My only regret is that I didn’t go to her sooner.

As a Jenkintown resident I’ve heard amazing things about Carla’s for a while now and recently decided to experience the magic for myself and let me tell you it did not disappoint!! I had the same hairdresser for 10 years before trying Carla’s so I was pretty nervous but they were so sweet about it and really worked with me to create the look I wanted (and I’m more than satisfied!!!). Highly recommend Carla’s to anyone who wants to look great and feel even better! Be sure to ask for Stacey, she has great technique and really knows how to work with different hair textures; big thank you to Carla and Stacey!
